BBC Radio 5 live #Champion Interview at the Olympic Stadium

Visiting the Müller Anniversary Games Athletics Diamond League competitions, several Pandemonium Drummers returned to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford, where we burst onto the scene with mighty rhythms and shouts during the Industrial Revolution scene of the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony.

None of us would have thought that four years later we would be releasing new music in collaboration with members of the Basement Jaxx family and with the support of Jane Sutton, mother of our only honorary drummer, the late Stephen Sutton MBE, who drummed with us at the UEFA Champions League Final 2013 at Wembley Stadium.

BBC Radio 5 live caught up with our drummers Jan Pearson, Helen Isaacs and Vera Yu and other Games Makers at the Stadium, running an interview about what it was like to be part of the London 2012 Olympics - our new single and video Champion caught particular interest with BBC's Jonathan Overend.

Listen to BBC Radio 5 live's coverage of the Anniversary Games today, 23 July 2016!

Champion is a new life-affirming charity song that captures the Olympic Spirit.

Felix Buxton from Basement Jaxx collaborated with the Pandemonium Drummers on this charity single in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust, celebrating the legacy of London 2012.

Champion is released on 27 July 2016 on Atlantic Jaxx Recordings.
