Become a Pandemonium Drummer

Want to step into the rhythm, feel the rush of the crowd, and be part of an extraordinary community? You don't need to be a professional musician to make some noise with us. We welcome new members of all backgrounds, ages, and skill levels who share a passion for rhythm, movement, performance, and fun!

Why Drum With Us?

What to expect: No experience required, a supportive community, physical wellbeing, and live performances.

✨ No Experience Required
Many of our original members had never picked up a pair of drumsticks before the 2012 Olympics. We have developed our own proprietary training methods to take you from a complete beginner to a confident performer.

🤝 Inclusivity & Belonging
Our charity is built on openness and friendship. It’s a space where you can entirely be yourself, make lifelong friends, and find a true sense of belonging.

🔋 Health & Wellbeing
Drumming is an incredible release. It’s high-energy, all-consuming, and a fantastic way to boost your physical health and mental wellbeing.

🎪 Perform Around London & the Surroundings
From high-profile capital parades to major sporting events and community festivals, you'll get to experience the thrill of performing live at big and small events.

How It Works

What to expect: Trial rehearsals, alternating London hubs, repertoire building, and organiser options.

We are a 100% volunteer-led group with a flat, supportive structure. To help you see if we are the right fit for you, it is entirely possible to come along and join us for initial trial rehearsals before making any commitment.

🥁 Rehearsal Focus
At each rehearsal, we go through different aspects of our performance repertoire, working together to develop and polish new grooves and visual movement routines.

📍 Alternating London Hubs
To make our sessions accessible across the capital, our monthly regular rehearsals alternate between different London locations. We currently cycle through hubs in Harrow, Leytonstone, and Croydon.

📋 Get Involved Behind the Scenes
Because we are run entirely by our members, you can contribute your skills in multiple ways. Our dedicated Workshop Team is in charge of organising rehearsals and booking live events, while our Board of Trustees looks after the official governance of the charity. You are more than welcome to join either team!

What It Costs

What to expect: Transparent breakdown of annual charity fees, rehearsal dues, and performance gear.

🎗️ Annual Membership Fee
Members pay a small annual fee, currently £20, to cover the essential costs of running the charity, including our public liability insurance.

🥁 Rehearsals
Rehearsals are paid for on a venue cost-recovery basis, typically £10 per monthly regular rehearsal. Rehearsals tied to specific high-profile projects may be completely covered by event booking income.

👕 Gear & Kit
Should you decide to officially join us after your initial trial rehearsals, we expect you to purchase your own bucket drum and performance costumes if you want to take part in our live public shows.

Take the First Step

Our membership year runs from 1st September each year. While we accept new members at any time, we are currently preparing a bigger project over the summer, and our next entry point for newcomers will be this coming September.

If you are ready to bring your energy to the group and try your hand at the beats that captivated the world, it will be possible to book guest tickets directly on our members page closer to the time, please check back!
