Big developments ahead in the coming months!

Awesome Autumn

How do you follow up on A Summer Like No Other with its spectacular London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, in particular the unforgettable Pandemonium segment?

We, the volunteer drummers from the Pandemonium segment, refuse to let go. Let the Awesome Autumn begin!

Between now and mid November, we have no less than 10 appearances lined up, probably more. Some of the upcoming events are individual or small group endeavours in support of local charities or initiatives, others are invited performances for various occasions.

This coming Saturday, 29 September 2012, about a dozen drummers will open the first birthday do of the Windsor Walk Housing Association charity shop at 2pm in 405 Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, SE22. The WWHA was set up by three doctors from the Maudsley to provide supported accommodation for adults with mental health issues.

You can see another group of probably two dozen drummers on the steps of Hackney Town Hall around noon on Wednesday, 3 October, where Hackney and UNISON have an open day for UNISON members.

And on Thursday, 4 October, you will need tickets to MacMillan's Enchanted Ball 2012 at the Landmark Hotel.

Please note that the Pandemonium Drummers are made up of a vast group of individuals, whose opinions and affiliations do not necessarily reflect the views of the whole group.

ABOUTPandemonium Drummers

The Pandemonium Drummers were originally put together by London 2012 Ceremonies for the Pandemonium segment of Danny Boyle's spectacular Olympic Opening Ceremony. Following the Ceremony, the volunteer drummers kept on performing at a variety of events.

Based on their extensive training, they performed at other Opening Ceremonies, including the UEFA Champions League Final 2013, the FA Cup Final 2014, and the Heineken Cup Final 2014, and at a variety of large and small festivals as well as sports and community events. The Pandemonium Drummers are a returning act in London's major parades, including the London New Years' Day Parade, St Patrick's Day Parade, and the Lord Mayor's Show, and they coined Cheer Drumming, supporting runners at major sports events across the capital and beyond. The Pandemonium Drummers have supported the Special Olympics, the Teenage Cancer Trust, and a wide range of other charities.

The Pandemonium Drummers are a constituted association with charitable aims, and are working on a non-profit basis as volunteers.
