St Pandemonium Drummers' Patrick's Day

London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Ceremonies Volunteer Cast made a big appearance in London's St Patrick's Day Parade from Piccadilly to Trafalgar Square.

Volunteer Performers from various Ceremonies segments dotted the parade in multiple positions, and one of them was of course taken by us, the Pandemonium Drummers.

This time we featured our London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony Athlete's Parade Marshalling costume with the green-white grass tops - a perfect outfit for the celebration of Ireland's primary patron saint!

Rainy Rehearsal Reminiscence

We also donned the original London 2012 transparent rain capes, almost replicating the conditions of Rainy Tuesday, a particularly dire rehearsal day in the Olympic Stadium, which is featured on the London 2012 Opening Ceremony Explorer page - an experience implanted in our minds forever, but also one of the foundations of our famous team bond.

Olympic Astro-Turf

Our friends from the Pandemonium segment, the Working Men and Women, were allocated a different position in the parade, and they showcased their brand-new Pandemonium Performers banner - and a roll of Olympic astro-turf from the Opening Ceremony!

Photographer Elsie, a Pandemonium Drummer herself, captured the best moments of the parade on her Demotix page, including performers from other London 2012 Ceremonies.
